I have been battling two autoimmune diseases since 2010 – Ulcerative Colitis and Ankylosing Spondylitis – a relatively rare form of arthritis that originates in the spine area. At some point, in an attempt to beat the inflammation, I had gone raw (with food) and managed to get everything under control. Unfortunately, to my massive surprise the effect didn’t last and now, after two years of remission, the f-cking asshole is back and I am afraid I’m going to have to take a break from writing, hopefully, no more than two or three days.

Bastard has hit me in the shoulder and also my left knuckle is at this point blue, hot and swollen. Moving my middle and index fingers is accompanied by involuntary shrieks of pain which is so distracting! I will need a little bit of time to spend on check-ups in the hospitals and either to get better or to adjust to the pain. I will be using these few days with extra care, in thoughts about whether I have broken the promise to write every day and failed because it feels like I have

I’m sorry about this. I am realising, as I’m typing this, that I will miss my writing for the next few days. Turns out, I have enjoyed what I’ve done so far.
